Doing the laundry is a task we do frequently, if not every day, it’s every weekend or every other day, but it’s something we keep in mind in our cleaning routine.

Many times, by not reading the manufacturer’s instructions for each garment, we make the mistake of doing the laundry and end up deteriorating its fabric or color.

So, it is time to know the mistakes we make when doing the laundry, this way we won’t make them anymore.

Overloading the washing machine when doing the laundry

In this case, the amount of water will be disproportionate to the number of clothes loaded in the washing machine.

The detergent will not be able to dissolve as desired, and this results in white stains on our clothes, often as a paste.

On the other hand, the clothes will not be able to move well inside the machine, and therefore, they will not wash well.

So, do not overload the washing machine; leave the measure of the palm of your hand between the clothes and the top of the drum.

Doing the laundry with very hot water

We know that hot water is perfect for eliminating germs and bacteria, but many garments are not friendly to high temperatures.

This will cause the fibers of the garments to lose color and their quality to deteriorate.

Not removing stains before doing the laundry

If you think the washing machine will remove the stain, this is not so true.

Often, not treating the stain before doing the laundry makes it stick to the fabric, making it much more difficult to remove.

Use more fabric softener

You must be careful with this product because it often helps to take care of the garments, but it can end up spoiling them.

It is important that you read the manufacturer’s instructions since excessive amounts of fabric softener cause the detergent to be removed incorrectly, which can cause stains on clothes.

Use plenty of detergent when doing the laundry

This does not mean that at the time of doing the laundry, using more detergent than indicated will make it cleaner. It depends on taking care of the colors of the garments.

We must consider that any excess is harmful, and for the quality of the clothes so is the detergent in larger quantities than indicated.
