You will always get your cooking and baking sheet grimed since baking and cooking are important activities in the home. Therefore you will need to clean them over and over to keep them clean and usable for your next cooking or baking activity.

Cleaning a cooking or baking sheet can be really messy and hard work especially when it’s rusty, grimy or some burnt food particles got stunk into the sheet.

There are several methods and products used in cleaning cooking and baking sheets. In using any of these materials, you must be cautious of the thickness of your sheet. Using hard Abrasives on light sheets may cause scratches that scraps off the surface and color painting (if any) on the cooking or baking sheet.

Baking soda, vinegar, and sea salt

This is good for removing stains of food particles on your cooking and baking sheets. Once you are ready to wash, spray an amount of baking soda on the surface to be cleaned. Then add a layer of sea salt and then pour in some vinegar to soak. Allow the mixture to sit in the sheet for 10 minutes then scrub with a sponge for about another 5 minutes. Rinse with warm water and dry with a towel. You will see your sheet shining brighter and lots of food gunk removed.

Bleach cleansing powder and hot water.

This is particularly useful when you have burnt food particles stunk into your cooking or baking sheet. As soon as you are done with cooking or baking, fill your sheet with hot water and add an amount of bleach cleansing powder to soak. Allow the mixture to sit for about 30 minutes and all the gunk will be removed. You can then wash your sheet with soap and rinse with clean warm water.

Baking soda, vinegar, and hydrogen peroxide

It’s the best way to clean your cooking and baking sheet if you want them to look shiny like they are new just once again.

Pour some baking soda on the surface of the sheet to be cleaned, then add in hydrogen peroxide to soak then add another layer of baking soda. Allow the mixture to sit for about 10 minutes then add another layer of vinegar. You do not need any add scrubbing as the gunk and the stains will remove on its self. Wash your sheet with soap and a soft sponge. Rinse with warm water and towel-dry.

Borax and warm water

Although borax is used in laundry but it can also be used for wiping off stains and sticky grimes from your cooking and baking sheets. It will also remove burnt food particles that got stuck to the sheet.

Fill your sink with some warm water and add half a cup of borax and then soak your sheets into the mixture for about 30 minutes. Make sure that the borax gets completely dissolved in water and then scrub the sheets with a soft sponge.
